DNS error on my PS2

Is your network reachable? YES
Are you using a port-forward? N/A
Is your console being detected? YES
Brief description of your network setup: Linksys wireless router to my laptop which is connected to my PS2
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? I don't use a firewall.
Operating System? WindowsXP SP2
Problem description? DNS Error on my PS2 network setup

My laptop is wirelessly connected to my router and my PS2 is cross-cabled to my laptop.

I am setting up the PS2 for online for the first time with the network CD.

I go 'ISP Setup -> I have an ISP -> Auto. Config. -> Other -> Test Settings' on the PS2 network setup CD.

1. Looks like you're using an old build. Do the whole uninstall, delete, re-download, re-install, autoupdate procedure.
2. The laptop's wireless = no go. Unless the WLAN card support
promiscious mode, you're not going to get very far with that setup.

Update: User did not respond within 5 days. Setting to Problem Solved.
