i got the new xbmc 1.1.0. (the new one) and i have configured it to work. the engine is running on my computer, the xlink kai gtag and password is put in it, and the computer sees it i.e. it says on the computer tha the ui engine started, then it gets the ip, then it says the ca core (advanced) orbital snyc established when i run xbmc. but when i go to xlink kai theres no servers on anything. i change xlink kai back to the normal way so i can see the servers on the computer and theres lots of servers online. so i switch it back to work with the dashboard and it still doesnt work.
a little help would be nice |

1. You need October 29th CVS or later (I suggest 11th November CVS )
2. You need to set XTag and password via the settings in XBMC. |

I have gotten the latest version of XBMC and I can play fine on xlink (have for the longest), I followed the pdf tutorial, set my settings, the RSS feed goes fine, but I cannot see any games or friends on my xlink as if its not getting a connection. Ive tried everything. This computer is DMZ, the port is forwarded, i duno what else to do.
i set my xbox ip info under the XBMC Settings as static. Should I change it to DHCP? I've set my xtag and pass under the xbmc and still nothing goes. The computer is not in the same room as the xbox so I cannot say if it displays the ip in the sys tray when I launch |

please state if your using the kaid or win32 version. There seems to be a problem with the kaid versions right now but win32's are running fine |

I am having a very similar problem. I have the latest XBMP, and the latest win32 kai. Everything works perfectly (awesome program!) when I use my computer to control kai. However, with XBMP I cannot see any arenas, friends or games. My gamertag shows up and my computer shows the message that a UI has been connected but it seems to be stuck for some reason.
Do I need to port-forward? I'm not sure seeing as it works great the normal way. I read something about deleting saved settings - I wiped out the old xbmp folder completely and put in the new one. I went to the regular save game folders but am not sure what one is kai if any.
Everything with XBMP works as usual .. just this problem with kai.
Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated. |

The one thing I haven't seen mentioned is that you set the correct settings in Kai Configuration Utility. Make sure that you are configured to accept UI connections from "Any IP Address" and that Close engine is set to "Never".
Additionally you could use the quick pulldown bar at the top and set it to Engine only if you never plan on using the PC to control Kai. If you do this, you will have to launch the UI manually on your computer if you ever want to use it. Just make a shortcut to KaiUI.exe if you need it. |

Tick Launch UI in addition to above instructions. |
