Xlink Kai doesn't work with snow leopard?

Hi, Im struggling to get xlink to work no ive upgraded to snow leopard.
Any ideas?
It just doesn't connect to server.

I'm having an issue with Snow Leopard as well. Sometimes the server launches, but most of the time it the icon in the dock just bounces. But sometimes the browser is able to access the kai engine, but its extremely slow, and most of the time it eventually is not able to access.

Is this a known issue, and being worked on?

Same problem here. I can't get it to work on Parallels Desktop either. Only way is boot camp windows for me Sad

Hope they get something developed, even though everything seems to be at a standstill...

Anyone got any ideas?

I haven't had trouble connecting to the server, so this may or may not work for you, but I can play via XLink on Snow Leopard.

Normally I used Kaid Commander, which provides a nice GUI for starting the kai engine and launching Amaryllis. The GUI doesn't work for me now. So I just downloaded the latest kaid engine application from the XLink site. Once it is downloaded, install it. Then open it. You can open Terminal which is in /Applications/Utilities and execute the command

ps -ef | grep kai

That will verify that the engine is running. Then, download Amaryllis from http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17400/amaryllis or if you have Kaid Commander, right-click and choose Show Package Contents. Press command(the apple key)+f for Find and search for Amaryllis. Open Amaryllis. Login and find a room with other players.

A month has gone by and still no luck? Sad

I have the same issues. Amaryllis just looks for a local engine for hours and hours, and kaiengine just can't connect to the server. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off and on internet sharing and my airport, etc. Long story short, I should just resort to using a PC?

Servers could be sick and make you unable to get connected. The problem may not come from your Leopard

Did you try both Kai versions(7,3 and 7,4)? I guess you downloaded the latest one which is 7,4.

Download the 7,3 version (Mac OSX 10.x Kaid) and give it a try.

Yeah, Kai tells me through Terminal that I'm not root.

ValkyrieWing managed to install the 7,4 Kai's version. The problem he had was due to the servers, not to the set up.

I have Snow Leopard too but i cant set up the Wlan Stick .. i use the
GW-US54Mini2W

Its just blinking and the Wireless Utility says "NO DEVICE"

to blade runner ive done all of that.....now the kaid commander is saying

Can’t make "directory" into type boolean. (-1700)

i downloaded the bundle for it it would be great if you can help or any suggestions thanks.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried installing both versions (Kai Commander and the 7.4 Beta) and neither of them even starts.

Can somebody give some help?

Sorry that I haven't kept up with the thread. I don't use Amaryllis anymore. With the latest 7.4 beta I just launch Kaid and once I login my default browser opens and requires me to login. Then I just navigate to the game I want to play on my system.
