Well, if you have followed this guide and it didn't help you then guess you are at the end of the road. I tried hard by googling and didn't find any other guide but this one.

By the way, Kai doesn't support DDWRT's firmware any longer ( see http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=evo7:wrt ) which means you might not be able to use it when the 7,4 version is complete.

There is, this other dude called Superkey which managed to set up his DD WRT for that purpose. See: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39320

However, he got a huge lag among other random problems and has yet to solve them out as far as I know.

Just save yourself a headache and get a compatible adapter.

Well, you are in luck since your adapter had been reported as compatible.

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=190098#190098

Just follow this guide.

And forget DD WRT and all this stuff. Just use your router to get your Internet.

Well, guess his "hacking" stuff (which isn't a hack at all but whatever) doesn't seem to be necessary to me. Wonder why it didn't try to install directly the driver rt73 instead of overwriting.

What is your operating system? Did you make sure your adapter is version 1 or 3?

http://linux-wless.passys.nl/query_part.php?brandname=Linksys

As you can see, only these two versions are compatible with Kai, not the version 2.

You're welcome btw.

Well, it should be written in the adapter's back but I guess the CD is already telling the truth.

You have to follow this guide then.

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=evo7:belin_f5d8073

Just skip the compatibility's stuff part if you are under Xp.

And please, forget the previous tutorial I gave you: it was a mistake from my part.

Actually, the list reports the adapter's chipset as "rt2870sta". Dunno what that could mean. Though it would have reacted the same as the rt2870 chipset but it doesn't apparently.

Guess you can't go any further with this adapter as for now. Just get a compatible one.

Depends if you have a 64 bit system or not.

If you do then go for a black Wifi Max or a Belkin either.

As for the Wifi max,

Quote:
Tip 2: Black Wifi Max and Vista 64-bit:

If you're having trouble installing the ZDWLan Utiltity with Vista 64-bit and Wifi Max, it could be to do with an option called 'Signed Driver Requirement'. This may need to be disabled.

To do this, press F8 on boot and find the option to 'Disable Signed Driver Requirement', save and exit.

Then apply this: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=evo7:pspwifimaxguide

As for the Belkin,

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36671&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60

If you run a 32 bit system, then simply pick up the adapter whose guide seems to be the more clear to you out of this list.
