I work with this girl. We both like each other, and we have deep feelings for each other. The problem is she is a cashier supervisor and im just a stocker. There are rules about supervisor employee relationships. Weve been hang out alot and being romantic but now it it got to the point where she sees no point because we cant be together now she doesnt want to have a secret boyfriend that she cant tell anyone about. If she does one of us would be fired. I understand all of that. All of this is just bad timing.
I dont know what path to take. I would do almost anything to have her, like quitting my job and getting another one. (i would say a new job would be 90% better than my current job. Gonna apply at walmart bestbuy and other places. I also have a potential videographer job opening up this fall)
I want to be with her. I dont think its childish to quit a job over love. Is it childish? |

Sounds familiar. I would say that its not a good idea to quit your job over a girl. But if a new job would make your life better in more ways than just being able to have her, then do it. If you can get into Best Buy btw, do it. Not Walmart, you'll be taken care of if you work at Best Buy. Get a job in the warehouse and stock like you do now. Best job in the store. Trust me. I do it every day.
I digress though. If shes interested dude, take her. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, at least you'd know rather than wonder. Do yourself a favor and if you can improve your life in any way, do it.
Hopefully that helps. |

Sometimes the rules state that it's only a problem if she's YOUR supervisor. If you're in a different department it might not matter. |

I applied at best buy just now. (i fucked up on the first page of those personality questions cuz the strongly disagree button was on top uh...)
She is a cashier supervisor, and i run the register often. This Save a Lot is pretty small. Our Stock crew is basically a skeleton crew: do anything and everything in the store but we dont get paid extra.
A new job would make my life better, ive just been delaying it cuz dont like change but they cut my hours again after i told them i wanted 40 hrs and full time. i got 24 hrs /piss
She is interested. If we didnt work together wed be dating by now. I sent her a text message saying that im gonna get a new job and quit to better my life and be with her and she doesnt want to talk about it, and said she cant do "this" anymore. By "this" she meant hang out and be romantic with me when its not gonna pay off in the long run. She also has a fear than all her friends will betray her or leave her (just because of failed relationships and friendships recently.)
I think shes trying to get over me so things wont be so hard and confusing for her and me.
Thanks for the advice |

I guess she doesn't love you then, If she loved you as much as you loving her she wouldn't care to show her love for you in front of everyone at work.
In a job situation like that i would probably assume if showing that she loves you that her manager would probably separate you from her that's if shes been there long to prevent her job from being in danger. |

You both have shitty jobs that you will not have five, maybe even two years from now. Follow you heart not your wallet.

Its more of people knowing about our relationship, people being the owners. The only separation that would be done, is, worse case scenario one of us gets fired.
I know she doesnt truly deeply love me. cuz thats too soon in our so call relationship, if u could call it one.
The term love is over used and has got a new meaning over the years. howd she put it... "I care the FUCK about you" or "I REALLY FUCKING care about you." lol
Ive been there for almost 3 years she will be there a year in like November i think but its true, job security isnt good there.
One of my friends works at the best buy i applied at so im hoping she can pull some strings. If i knew i had this videographer job with Bands of America in the bag, and if i had funds to tide me over till that job started id quit now cuz i know my current job isnt gonna be happy with me being like "yeah i need days off to go to this other job", and a new job would prob say fuck off if i was like that. |

If you've been there longer then she has then you should be the one that is more concerned about losing the job. My best guess would be to ask her if she really do love you, she stutters in the middle of answering or delays more or less she isn't really interested in staying involved. |

ok, heres the update.
I got an interview with best buy on friday and she is also thinking about quitting save a lot and going back to walmart to make 9.70/h possibly full time w/ benifits. The only down side is her ex works there who cheated on her and broke their engagement. Im not worried about them getting back together. It upsets her to see him.
We havent had the conversation about what will happen between us when we dont work together. Shes holding back being close to me cuz she doesnt want to like me too much right now cuz we cant be together. Anythings possible. Im trying to distance my self so i wont get hurt if she doesnt want to get together. |

Dude, Save up some money and go out to eat and talk about it, That would be the best idea at the time especially in your position. Going on a date is worse then inviting her over to your house to talk about it. |

She comes over pretty much every night. We get food, eat, talk, watch a movie, watch tv and sometimes cuddle. Shes has social anxiety when it comes to going to public places so idk bout a restaurant date. we usually go to a drive thru and bring it back to my place.
I do think we need to talk about it because right now, if i get the best buy job, things are looking like ill quit (if i get better pay and more hours at best buy than save a lot). So in that regard we could date then. I just hope the confusion (of wanting to date me, and cant) turned her away from me. |

Hopefully your interview goes well at Best Buy. Don't work at Walmart. You won't enjoy it as much as you do working at Best Buy. Like I said, I like the people I work with and I like my job, the discount and the benefits are great. Don't get me wrong, I still work with a bunch of idiots but i do like what I do and who I work with. In Inventory, you pretty much run the store, if you become good enough at your job. Thats at least how it works at my store.
Prestige, you are correct though.
Whatever makes you happy Lowbrassman. Thats what you should do. |

It turns out that the way i am pushes her away from me. I care too much and am too clingy sometimes. so yeah. I can see why but sometimes u cant help it. right? She said she is the clingy one lol
but yeah prestige is right. |
