can see games CANNOT join

Is your network reachable? yes,others can see my ping too
Are you using a router? yes linksys
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? dont know how Embarassed

Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? yes forwarded to current dchp addy
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? yup it is.
What console are you using? x box original baby!
Is your console being detected? yes
Brief description of your network setup: kick ass man cave both x box an pc on router,router to dsl modem (all wired.)
Model numbers of the router, and modem? linksys befsr41, embarq 660 series modem
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? yes pcillin tried xkai link with it turned off.
Operating System? windows vista home
Problem description? can see games but cannot join them. others can see my games, but not join as well. Embarassed

You have something else blocking your Xbox connection then. Has XLink been allowed to pass the connection through the windows firewall?

Hey Legend, Golden Gun here. I've been trying to help Cherub out but we both are stupid when it comes to Vista.

We checked the Windows Firewall and it SAID it was off. THEN we turned off the PCillin firewall. Is there more to it? Is Vista being a punk and misinforming us? Should we put exceptions into Vista firewall anyway, just to be sure?

I tried to help out all I could but like I said, I am not up on Vista at all. That's also why Cherub isn't off of DHCP yet...

Im running Vista and i can have my firewalls on so i know its not that. Are you sure that he has no extra programs running that determine connections and such. Something has to be blocking the game data
