, but i hate updating my XBMC everyday maybe the XBMC team could add a auto-update or would that be illegal?

Provided we're not involved in distribution of builds we've been tolerated by M$. In future perhaps we can offer a generic component update service and let other braver 3rd parties undertake the responsibility over what they offer Wink

Auto-Update's would be very nice, plus i don't think that M$ would care
cuz its not like XBMC is ever gonna die or stop being download thousands of times a day. we just need some brave ppl too get it started.

just compiled a build of this one(06:00CET), cant seem to get the games to autoload, syntax to path is afaik tell right.

Whats the proper syntax? the way you described in sticky is nogo in this end. Or does the sub-dirs need to be named acc to game name? I only get the failed to autoload jadijadi..

Rest looks good tho, will test speex & invite etc later today when my fellow .no lads awake from the dead Rolling Eyes

I aint releasing squat.. I only build these to test features.. curiosity killed the cat. =P

nm, seriously tho, tried the combos I can think of non-capital/capital w/wo : & \ vs / .. all same nogo.
Could it have anything with flatteing dirs under progs? afx(away from xbox Wink

) atm, so cant test it. Would be nice to know if there is a setting causing this or a little bugger, runtime? =)

XBMC running as main dash, although I cant see that being an issue..

I haven't got this yet, but you will most likely need to escape those slashes, so it's Partition1\\Games\\Test (not sure though).

I see your point if you exclude the 'test' bit iow; Partition1\\Games\\

Will be home in an hour, hopefully we can have some clarification on it from runtime =)

So...;

1) proper path syntax?
2) game dirs naming = game name, should think it grabs that from the xbe?
3) flatten progs on/off?
4) disregard all above, its a bugger?

Anyone need a coffee refill btw? Wink

hmm.. seems to be a bugger, got it to work now, but it does hang on occasions.. not the autoload bit but when I reset in games.. xbmc gets up fine, but need to restart kaid & reboot xbmc, then it will connect again & autoload Wink

Guess the prevdays reset bug is still valid..

I skipped a few errands & had to get home to check this. If any euro's wanna try voice, feel free to chat me up, I'll be lurking..

As I mentioned in the post the format for the games dir in settings is:

f:\games

Your games would then be arranged as follows:

f:\games\halo
f:\games\rainbow six 3

etc.

The XBE for Halo would then logically be:

f:\games\halo\default.xbe

Notes: This feature relies on the XLink team maintaining a complete list of XBE Title Ids for each main games arena. If the game does not appear in the Games mode, then either the game has not been played on your xbox before, or its not supported by XLink Kai, or the XLink team need to update their list (ask a mod about APP_SPECIFIC and they'll know which list you mean).

In hind-sight I should have made f:\games the default, I'm sure we wouldn't be having this discussion otherwise - ah well Wink

Rest assured we will be following up on this with TheDaddy soon. We're not sure if its a problem with the Kai engine itself, or IGR, or XBMC. Some people seem to be having these problems, others are playing absolutely fine.

thanx for clarifying, although that bit got sorted. =)

The bug is indeed odd, and very random to say the least. 1/5(roughly) times it hangs on IGR

xbmc logs turns up with nada to chew on when this occur.

There was also a few times that the picture disappeared(blue=no signal) upon reboot.. had to turn it off, leave it for a few sec, then it came back... tried a few IGR before that, sound is good, it boots up & I can click my way to shut it down via remote, but no picture..

There was no difference in running pal/ntsc games on this, happened both on a topspin(ntsc) and a pgr2(pal)..

First time I've had the "BSOD" on the xbox Razz

First off the 11-14 build is just amazing. I did have a question though about the auto launch. Is there anyway that it could use a scan feature to search all directories for games? Unfortunately half my games are saved in the Hddloader folder and the rest in F:\games. Hdd loader saves games as numbers for some stupid reason. If not i guess i can just rename all of my games and move them to the f:\games folder. Anyway like i said. Amazing Wink
