Datel WiFi Max (WL 685Z)

Hi all!
I have a quick question:

reading here i understand that Wi Fi Max of Datel is a compatible card. I have asked to lot of players on Kai becouse my wifi didnt work and all said me to buy a datel wi fi max.

Now I want to know if all datel wifi max are compatible becouse i have seen 2 differents "models" as "ZD1211" , "WL-685Z"...

I have bought WL-685Z and i hope it will work....waiting for it, does someone have it? It works?

I dont think ive ever seen anyone say they have that model but its worth a shot to see if it works or not

I'm waiting the shipment...probably my datel comes in 1 or 2 days....after I'll write here if works or not.

I've asked if it works becouse i've bought it from Ebay, thinking all wifi max work well... after i've seen that mine was WL-685Z and not a ZD1211.... so i want to know if someone have the Datel Wi Fi Max WL685Z and if it works with XLink kai....

Since datel make it i would think they would keep the same driver for it but just update the hardware in it.

As soon as you get it follow one of the guides that applys to you...

I cant understand why.....but i follow the how-to to install my new WIFIMAX but doesnt work....

All is good as the last wifi card that i had the only problem is "No consoles have been detected yet"

I try to explain better....I have a wifi card by Hamlet, when i start configure Kai all seemd to work....promisc mode, network reachable yes, ssid detected, card locked etc....all good....the only problem? "No console have been detected yet" ....

So i bought from internet after suggestion of kai players a WiFi max...but the problem is the same: the first diag mode seems all good and working, when i click on the icon with the "folder" to check my psp connected appears the noisy phrase "No console have been detected yet"..

I repeat that i have read and follow the how-to......

Do u think i buy a no compatible wifi max? or what is the problem? someone has a similar problem?

Please help me :/

Did you change the network adapter in Kai Config and set it to the Wifi Max adapter?

Did you also make sure you connected your PSP through ZDWlan that had a game running in System Link/Online Mode?

yes

kai detected my wifimax and it seems to work...i set my wifi max adapter......and yes, my psp is connected through ZDwlan.......Kai show me the SSid too.... is all ok...the only prob is that ...."no consoles have been detected yet" ....

I post two screenshot so you can understand better...

The first screen shot is what i see when i click on the "lens" on Kai, to enter Diagnostic mode

The second screen shot show what i see clicking on the icon to see if my console is connected...

Drivers of WIFI max are the latest one (ZD1211BWinPkgS_6_17_0_0_ALL.exe)

Version of Kai is: XLinkKai-7.4.18

Still sounds like an issue with you Kai Config. Could you please put you config in your next post so i may look at it

P.S.
I want to ask if is normal that when i start Kai my wifis fall down.
I use a notebook linked via wifi to the router and i have Datel WiFi max that links psp to notebook.
When i start Kai all WiFi disconnect so i have to go to proprieties and put on the funcion "Use windows to configure the settings of your wireless network". If i start Kai another time wifi fall down another time and this option is "off"...another time....

Finally....it works.....

I dont know why or what was the problem...i try to explain with my bad english for people that will have a problem like mine.

Drivers of Datel says that was enable xlink kai etc but it wasnt true. I enter in the deatils of my card by windows bypassing drivers and i enabled all functions as "Xlink Kai PSP".

The second problem was that kai automatically put down my wifis so i put the program work on browser...and now all works....kai show me psp mac address...and im on Monster Hunter Freedom Smile

This may sound sillyand i dont mean to be patronising but i had this and i hadn't told zwlan to connect to my psp !!! someone told me to go into online gh then connect to zwlan and hey presto it works every time ... Very Happy

ok, could anyone of you post an image of what the wifi max looks like?
i mean the package , from the outside, that i can make sure it is compatible with the psp...
and on my w-lan card it doesnt show any ssid on diagnostics mode...
is this necessary?
or is it just shown while using wifi max?

Hello, I've had Xlink Kai installed on this laptop for a while already, but never used it. Now with Monster Hunter Unite approaching, I decided to order a Wifi Max, this one to be exact http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CRKB32/ref=ox_ya_os_product. It just came in the mail today and was a bit upset already since after opening the product, the product was white just to read the Vista guide seeing that white wifi max's may or may not work at all with Kai. Regardless, I'm trying to remain positive in light of the situation. It's a Datel Wifi Max, I'll finish trying to complete the setup guide in a bit.

Intel bla bla (the w-lan card)
Locked: Yes
SSID is empty.. does it have to say the ssid here?
because it does not on my dia mode..
