First off, hi! I'm Yelllow Mage, I play Dissidia and I could really use some other players to test out my LV. 100 Firion.
So I got Xlink Kai. I'm running the Mac OS X version of kaiengine and I've got the PCI GameLink X II GW-US54Mini2G USB Ethernet connector (A.K.A. the second one of the two advertised on the homepage).
I followed the tutorial (the only one for Mac OS X) as best I could, but I seem to have hit a snag or two:
Firstly, in the USB Wireless Utility, under the Advanced section there is nothing called "Enable PSP Xlink". In it's place is something called "Adhoc mode use OFDM rate". I'm assuming this is the equivalent; it was enabled already when I got to that step in the tutorial.
Secondly, when I run the kaiengine and check under Metrics, it says I'm "not [reachable] yet". Here's my whole Metrics section:
orbital name: inxtec.net
reachable: Not Yet
local ip: 86.155.31.62
local port: 52568
engine version: 7.4.18
pssdk/winpcap: OS X/libpcap
signed by: MeanMF
ethernet adapter: en2
locked: 1
up engine traffic: 0
down engine traffic: 0
up chat traffic: 0
down chat traffic: 0
up orb traffic: 0
down orb traffic: 0
pssdk/winpcap (again?): libpcap
mac cache entrie: 0
broadcast traffic inbound: 0
broadcast traffic outbound: 1
unicast traffic inbound: 0
unicast traffic outbound: 0
wireless SSID:
Found Consoles:

So, can anyone help me out with this? It'll be much appreciated. Oh, and one more thing: is it possible to get kaiengine to display in Firefox? It displays in Safari by default, but I much prefer Firefox. Thanks in advance! |

Is it still not reachable after a couple of minutes?
If it is, portfoward then. |

I shouldn't have to port-forward because my router supports UPnP. |

And did you enable it in your router config?
I saw you pop in the English room often but you never talked. Are you sure it does not work, at least? Just ask one of us to test and we will. |

Oh...hehe! I hesitated to introduce myself there, but we can continue this there now. Provided I don't keep getting disconnected from the engine every few minutes... |

What is the error message when you get disconnected if you have any? |

It just says "detaching from engine". I can just stop and refresh the page, but it shouldn't happen at all. |

"Detaching from Engine"?
I never saw such an error message.
I ask it again: are you sure the Upnp is enabled on your router? By the way, I assume you are using the 7,4 version, right? |

Yes, UPnP is enabled. I went to enable it during my port-forwarding fiasco and found that it's enabled by default.
And I'm still "not yet" reachable. |

So as far as we came now,
*you got the psp xlink mode enabled.
*your network is reachable.
I guess it is a channel issue. You did not talk about that in your previous thread.
Check if it is set on channel one. |
