PLEASE HELP linksys usb adapter

ook i live in mexico and in here i cant find wii fi max , or any of those devices , how ever i found Linksys WUSB54GC , wich i heard is compatible but im so insecure about buying it because my internet is LAN i mean i dont have a wireless connection on my house

so my question is .....

does this device works like wiifi max? i mean i just plug it into my NON wireless internet computer and it will create a wireless network that my psp can get into?

this model of usb ACTUALY creates a wireless network out of my LAN INTERNET computer? because i readed it and it looks like its just for that the computer can get internet faster but im not sure

plss i need help after buying i also have a mac and i read this post that has drivers for mac but im not sure if it will work please help
