You may need to forward from the broadband router to the dlink.

(Remember that DSL aka Digital Subscriber Line is digital. You route digital signals. You never modulate a digital signal - tho I know both producers and isps use the modem term.)

Update: The DSL Router is a Westell 2110 (B90-36R515-01).

You mean the modem Wink

http://www.portforward.com/westell/2100-portforwarding.htm (should be close enough to your model)

Skip step 1. You need to set up the modem so that port 30000 UDP is redirected / forwarded to the IP of the DLink router.

As DOS4GW explains it no, I don't mean the modem. I mean the DSL router. Razz Also, the 2100 and the 2110 are different. The 2110 apprently doesn't have any configuration interface (if you'll look in the documentation on Westell's site, there is a section for the configuration interface on the 2100, but not the 2110). I already went to that site and checked it out, but it doesn't apply to the 2110 as 192.168.1.1 is completely unreachable with ONLY the "modem" connected to the PC.

It is built on the modem technology, and use several of the same principles, but still it is kind of hard modulating and demodulating, herby the term modem, 0'es and 1'es... They prefere to be routed, unless they go trough D/A A/D converting.

All tough both producers and isps ejoys the digital modems I find them almost as odd as the digital audio headsets from Philips...

Therefor I prefere the term "broadband router".

Anyway, let's not get hanged up at this. This isn't the problem...

Sounds like you use Verizon? They disable the control panel interface for some reason..

I'll do some investigation on this one..

Verizon is my phone company, a third party supplies my DSL though (but essentially it's Verizon DSL). Thanks for helping. I've emailed the company (LinkLine) about what modems they support. So I might just buy a new modem if this can't be tweaked to work.

Don't know if you guys are reading this, but uhm...it just randomly started working after I reconnected my modem (it was saying Network Reachable: Yes all of a sudden). No clue at all why it started working. Now maybe when my connection upgrade (from down/up 1.5mbit/128kbit to 3mbit/768kbit) I won't warp so much in Halo 2.
