see psp but no ssid, wireshark can see other psp's traffic

Ok,
I've spent last to days trying to make xlink kai to work on linux.
This i my situation:
I'm reacheable?yes
My PSP if founded? yes
Adapter used = U.S. Robotics 805422 (prism based)
Can see SSID in metrics? No
network: PSP--->wifi--->pc--->eth-->gateway--->internet

I try to do some analysis, so i run the kai engine and start sniffing on the two interface (wifi and eth0).

On the wifi i can sniff the traffic of the my psp and of the other psp. I can see me and other psp broadcasting, and other psp send packets to mine, but i can't see my psp send anything Sad

On the eth i can sniff a lot of incoming packets at port 30000 but all the outgoing packets have checksum error.

I don't know if the us robotics driver are ok (beacuse the adapter isn't in the compatible list).
By the way using airmon-ng patch other cards maybe can play...(intel 4965/3965).

Do some try now...

By the way it works i can sucessfully play a couple of play.

Garluf, you mean you can succesfully turn a device into monitor/promiscuous mode ?
I tried so many things !!! For exemple the command

sudo ifconfig wlanX promisc

but it never really worked... Although, like it did for you, i made an ad-hoc connection between the psp and my device (a bluestork usb device ... I'm using the laptop integrated wifi card for the internet connection).

Airmon is a part of aircrack, isn't it ? Has it just enabled the monitor mode and nothing else (yep i love security Razz

).
