Ok...i've been reading trough the posts but I'm just totally lost here...
You'll probably say that this is posted somewhere...either I'm just the dumbest person here or I'm just plain blind!
I'm using XBMC...and when I go to Kai I can see everything, users, games and arenas.
I go to a room where I see that one/some players have the "joystick" logo next to their name.
Then I press "Play" and the game launches but,
when the game starts and I go to System Link I can't find any server!
What's wrong?
Plz help me out!
Thx
/Marcus
EDIT:
Tried a few games, both on europe and USA arenas.
Thought I could be PAL/NTCS probs. |

Its still possible to see all this and still be having engine routing problems. Are you able to successfully use the Win32 client to play games? If so, is your router configured to forward UDP to the XBOX as per XLink's instructions? |

everything's set up right.
Ran a remote assistance with SS-CybrPunk.
Everything looked fine, Kai UI finds my xbox, reaches the network and all.
Just can't find any server when I launch the game.
And now xbmc can't find halo 2 when I press games in kai, it did before.
i'm REALLY confuced! |

RE: Halo 2 - I spotted a bug in the wee hours this morning, seems the Kai engine can't handle the volume of requests I'm sending it (basically in order for everything to work I need Kai to send me back some info for each game you have); since this isn't working some games aren't showing up in the Games list, and is also the reason why they don't always Auto-Play.
I'll have a fix in tomorrow/later today.
In terms of joining games not sure why you can't - could be a routing issue, if UDP packets aren't getting forwarded to your XBOX (let say it was on a dynamic IP) then you'd still be able to see arenas etc. but not be able to find syslink games. |

isn't that correct or should I forward it to my xbox instead? |

as I said earlier...
SS-CybrPunk has checked that everything's in order on my PC.
none of us could figure out why the f**k it doesn't work.
2 bad cause I was so looking forward being able to use Kai trough XBMC.
Love all the updates you've made and the hard work you're puttin into the project. |

Please guys help me out - the quality of bug reporting in this forum is really diabolical, you could be experiencing many of these issues for different reasons. Give me some credit for basic intelligence, if I thought something didn't work at all, you think I would have noticed - since I haven't noticed, help me try to recreate these issues (list your configuration, give an accurate description, and perhaps the log file) or just don't bother posting at all
Also look at the latest cvs and see if the bug has already been fixed instead of constantly going on about issues that have already been fixed in the latest CVS, the change list can be seen here.
If you really want to accelerate the process of bug fixing and help me out and read this. |

ok...didn't mean to offend you runtime, or anyone else!
me and CybrPunk just found it so strange that even though my settings were correct I couldn't se any servers in the game.
Thought that maybe someone else had the same problem that's all.
again...you guys really do an awsome job! Keep it up! |

no offence taken, i'd love for all you guys to be up and running, but its going to take us a while to get there. the problem is that theres many variables, theres your router, pc, kai engine, lan and xbmc. its possible for everything to be cool and still not be 'reachable' by the orb. TheDaddy is aware of these things and I think his next engine will be even more dash-friendly. |

SUPER!
well...I really can't figure this out so I'll just wait for some updates and keep my fingers crossed.
I've launched the Kai UI on my pc after connecting to Kai on xbmc, everything looks in order; the network is reachable, my xbox is successfully configured aso...
Guess it's just plain wiered!
Anyways...keep up the good work! |

Just out of curiosity. Can the fact that some people have the latest Halo 2 updates from Live! make the game incompatible with other players (version straight out of the DVD)?
I know I was having this problem with NHL 2K4 and it took us a while to figure that out. That would explain why Kai-XBMC, even though is is setup correctly can not see games in syslink. |

you know what worked for me that i completely over looked, is in the kai config i had to set my ports to what ever it was i was port forwarding too. i had the same thing going on for a while and it was driving me nuts. xbox was all set up kai was set up and the diagnostics all showed everything working right but i still couldn't see any games until i set that up. but this is on the win ui. yes i know this is xbmc i'm just throwing this out there just in case this might help so please don't go into a flame. it just seemed that might of been the problem. |
