The 360 is going homebrew with public hacks coming out like XBRebooter and Freeboot.. You can already run unsigned XEX files and live containers. I'm running an USB drive 500gb packed full of games
I've heard people are hard at work removing the system ping limit on 360 games, because you know that's what they do.. Patch the kernel to get rid of all security related features
I hope this day may come soon so we can all get together on Xlink KAI
You'd need an exploitable 360 though |

I think the ping limit is in the game code, not the system itself, so they should be able to find and patch it pretty quickly. The issue is getting a moddable 360 - as far as I know, any recently-made box or older box that received the Spring update this year is not hackable. |

SO you're saying I can run a external USB drive with game iso's on it and play off of that? If so, please give me a link to the tut. |

Son of a donkeylover. My 360 is way too new. I hope the hackers catch up to my kernel. |

Just to clarify, xbox 360's that have the SUMMER 09 update are not hackable anymore. But! Most of the 360's on shelves in Canadian stores are old stock!
So if your looking for a new, but still hackable console, try a Canadian store. |

First the poll is dumb. Who would say no?
It's like people with Proud to be an American bumper stickers, who would have one that said "Not proud to be an American." Anyway...
Two, It has been 5 years since I've awaited for something like this, so don't expect hackers to kill ping limits without more homebrew development.
Three, feels nice to be back on these forums again. Not many people are still around since 04. |
