It has come to my attention that people are using the Halo 2 trainer to cheat while using kai.
I would like to point out that cheating is taken very seriously and that if you are caught using this trainer then you will be excluded from this service.
However if you still wish to try this trainer out, then may i sugest that you do it in a private arena, either with a password or an adaquate description.
I hope that you will respect other gamers, and make kai a fair and fun place to play.
Thankyou

Its a great idea.
I agree that if people want to use the trainers online they should post up that they are using them and play with other enhanced players (man is this getting like the olympics or what).
For those of you out there who think useing these online to win games I have news for you please carry on YOU WILL BE BANNED and still suck at halo 2.
Thanks for your time.

So I take it someone spawning in with immediate cloaking is a cheater then?
If so, then some gimp was cheating last night in the n00bs room. |

I just *knew* that had to be what was happening tonight!
I mean slashing someone with an energy sword 6 times is enough to kill anything - but noooooo. These turkeys just wouldn't die!
I got so pissed I managed to get on top for a bit - then I dropped to third with 18 kills - not too bad if they were playing with cheats (which they *had* to be). I mean c'mon! One guy took 3 short-range shotgun blasts, then I melee'd him 6 times and then he takes me out with 3 battle gun bursts? Something ain't right! I guess I'll make a note of sigs next time and avoid them. Or should I be a bad guy and report them? |

well people don't use the same names ingame as they do on Kai, so its tough to find the right person to report. |

I guess I will try and verify their sigs if I run into it again. I just dropped the game after I figured that something was going on. There were about 8 of us and there were just two players that seemed extra extra tough. Those were the two that ended up 1st and 2nd.
I don't think they were very experienced players - the one guy I melee'd all the way down a hall - never done that before LOL. I kept wondering "what's holding this guy up?" No overshields or anything. Then when he takes me out with a couple of bursts I know that something is up. The energy sword was the final straw - you just don't get lanced with one of those 6 times and still stand up. |

If you create a private room you can figure it out easily. This is one of the main points in creating a room is you can control who is in it. Then if someone is cheating look at the 10-20 names in the room and subtract the ones you know it is not. The one by one kick the few you do not know and when your cheater leaves you know you got the right name. Then report them to us. |

Yep, and I you accidentaly get kicked in the process, and you're not the cheater, don't get mad. It's all for a greater cause. Just join back in |

Ok so far as I can tell its the host who has the Trainer enabled im not sure if people can join the hosts game with one havent looked at it much.
As for what to look out for
1)people spawning with powerups on that are not assigned in the game type.
2)Soaking up huge amounts of lead and not suddenly contracting deadness. (met up with a complete twat last night who walked through 4 direct rockets and cut me down).
3)Seemingly uber damaging weapons (seen this as the trainer can up any weapons rate of fire)
4)Never having to reload ie watching them hose an entire room with endless lead.
Do the right thing report the suspected person to a moderator i personally think if people want to use these trainers online they should advertise its use in the game discription.
Thanks for your time.

I am glad this has been brought up, I experinced this the other day while playing Halo2. I put a few rockets someones way and they didnt die, there was also quite a bit of giggling from some of the players when this happened... I am far from being a good player but I know something was wrong and immediately thought that there was some cheating going on.
Unfortunately I didnt bother getting the players names but next time I will. If people are going to use trainers then they should create their own arena and clearly state they are using trainers. |
