Tried the last 2-3 of the Nov. builds of XBMC and same things happening.
Once i access the Kai screen > i'm seeing the Kai screen > but i'm also seeing text that says weather , build number.
Its like there's 3 pages stacked on the Kai screen.
Done the usuall deleating of the saves off xbox dash and the 0face008's off both E:\UDATA & E:\TDATA and system.bin file
i cant find any reference to this search/forums
ideas???
PS: if indeed i've missed an obvious "sticky" in regards to this , slap me [cause i did look] |

You just need to update your skin is all.
The skin isn't a static thing, it needs to change as XBMC does, in this case we had to change all the IDs for the Kai screen to stop them conflicting with other things (e.g. corrupting the keyboard dialog etc.) |

runtime: Yeah , i tried updating skins with no success [which i agree with you , as this seemed to be the most logical]
evoxdash.xbe is where i have my bios pointing to , so updating the newer xbmc xbe in "C" and renaming to evoxdash.xbe fixed the text overlay problem.
I've updated my xbmc many times and have never before updated the actual xbe before. [obviously not good]
Also , installed the new 11/18/04 build [with kai enhancements] found in the usuall places. WOW!!!!!
All features are now working 100% with Kai and connecting was a breeze utilizing the evolution7.
PROPS to those that have put all this together. Its an amazing tunneling service and the support found here is priceless.
Hopefully , more folks will start utilizing Xlink Kai [we need more players gosh darnit !!!] |

Chilly, the earlier issue is definately a skin thing - it could be that Choke hadn't yet updated part of the skin i.e. 16:9 - lately his mind has been on other things (NFSU2). Hopefully he'll get back to work soon |
