I have xlink kai 7.4 beta on my macbook connected to my router with ethernet, same with my 360. On the web ui I do see that my xbox 360 is connected under the metrics tab but, in COD MW2 I don't see any games under system link.

Port Foward in your router . Port 30000 must be opend .
You need to be the admin on the mac .
Try to disable the firewall in security .
I have a mac mini with Snow Leopard & 7.4 beta .
Everything is running great .
The only difference is that i use the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter with my xbox 360 . I don't use a Router .
