I have this problem, and it is really annoying.
Go to Kai and go to arena. After you join an arena go back to Messenger mode. Then go back to arena mode. You can't. You're just in this room. I have to restart Kai every time. Is there some kind of fix for this?

For now (until they fix it), click the performance icon, followed by the add user icon... worked for me.
