I know about the 16gb max limit for a drive plugged into a 360. My question is, if you partition a 250gb hdd to have multiple 16gb partitions would the 360 recognize them all as 16gb separate storage devices or just one 16gb?

Or is there any wiggle room with out buying a new xbox hdd, or modding it to get more storage with an external pc hdd?

nevermind i answered my own question. it wont work. ugh lol

Edit: but, i do have one more idea to try. copy the system files, format and partition each to 16gb sections and copy the system files over. I doubt it will make a difference.

If you want to use an external drive for the 360 as a memory card it will format the entire device (unless you tell it not to) and will only have one 16gb drive to use for xbox storage.

yeah i was trying to see if the xbox would read the partitioned drive as separate drives lol i spent an hr copying the files the xbox wrote to the drive to separate partitions.
Still no deal even tho the format was still MSDOS fat.

And to top that i cant find a used wireless G adapter around here lol. might as well save up and buy a 360slim w/ built in wifi and a bigger drive but i need to buy lights so i can shoot my film this month....ugh lolol
