I'm connected with my PS3 to the internet wirelessly, is it different than connected via cable?
And I would like to know, is 890kb upload speed good enough to handle alot of players for Kai? Thank you.
P.S. I know nobody plays PS3 via Xlink Kai since PSN is free, but I would like to test it once |

If you do play online with your upload , then you can handle about 5 to 6 players . I have 1,4 mb upload & keep my players about 9 .
That way other players will have no lag . |

Thank you so much Michael, but I'm still wondering about the setup. Any idea? |

I only tested the PS3 back in the day's with a wired connection . I never tried wireless .
From what i have heard setting up the 360 wireless is a pain in the ass . So , i recommend the you set it up wired . |

I tried using my ps3 on wireless with xlink kai and could not get it to work, but as soon as switched to a wired setup it did. |
Oh.. But my problem is that my PS3 isn't near my modem & even if I got a long ethernet cable that I could plug in in the PS3, my modem don't have 2 ethernet plugs or whatever they are called. |

Well do you use a router? because that would solve that problem and give you plenty of ethernet jacks.
You can get Xlink Kai to work with PS3 if you have wireless internet to the PC. Then you bridge the wired and wireless network cards on your PC and run a normal ethernet cord from the PC to the PS3 and it will work.
However, if you have never had XLink Kai working before on any console this is probably a bad route to go as it makes things a lot more complicated. Like it adds in a lot more variables when trying to get Xlink Kai working when you are troubleshooting it. So I would still recommend trying a wired setup first. |

I played online through Kai with my PSP 2 months ago. But I didn't really get what you mean wireless internet to the PC. You mean a Laptop or that I can access the PC's files with my PS3? Because I can access the PC files using my PS3. And thank you really much for reminding me about the router. It got 3 more rooms for ethernet cables |

Michael, I got a DSL modem, but I don't get what HUB/Switch is. Is it a cable or what? Sorry for not knowing about it. |

Oh, alright. But I already got a router with 3 more hubs or whatever it is called (please tell me what they're called ) and do I need to connect my PS3 with an ethernet cable or the other cable that is kinda like a phone cable?
Thank you again Michael & Lazyhobohum. |

I connected my PS3 through Ethernet cable, got the DNS error & Kai detected my PS3. Now I just need a game that supports LAN, right? |
