Standard router config Network Reach..not yet

Not sure if this will do it or not but try and turn PAT off, and remove the port forward in the XLink Kai config tool. D-Link routers 99% of the time do not need to be forwarded. Also make sure you are in arena mode when checking your network status from the application. Report back when done to see where we are at.

If that doesn't work, you will need a virtual server on the DSL modem, then a port forward on the router.

The virtual server will put the router as the server, then the portforward on the router will point to the IP of the PC.

SS-Funk..I did that and still nothing.

Not sure how to add a virtual serve on the modem. I know how to do it on the router though. I've got a dlink 302g DSL modem

IP of my PC is 192.168.0.101
Ip of xbox 192.168.0.103

Destination Port from : 30000

Protocol: UDP
Local Address From: 10.1.1.1
Local Address To: 192.168.0.1
Global Address From: 0.0.0.0 (according to DLink documentation, this is fine).
Global Adress To: 0.0.0.0
Dest. Port From: 30000
Dest. Port To: 30000
Local Port: 30000

Then you have to go make a portforward on the router.

Port forward 30000 UDP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.101 (PC) on the router.

Now it sounds like McAfee is interfering Very Happy

Print screen -> open any image editor. Save.

Then go host them on the web - http://www.imageshack.us will do. Use the [img] and [/img] tags around the URL to put them in your forum post (image shack shows you how anyway).

You made the mistake of trying to forward from the modem directly to the PC, which isn't right.

You've done the router portforward correctly though.

I guess all problems most people seem to be having is a poor attention to detail and I'm no different.
Thankx soo much guys you've been a great help. I can now get network reachable.

I'll need to read some more faqs about working out how to play games now.

Cool stuff. When someone's never port-forwarded before, they're bound to make mistakes we're all human. But now in the future you will probably know how to do it on your router.
