I spent an all nighter and I found a download link on gx-mod.com but it kept refreshing it's self, I'm for some reason banned on xbmc forums but I haven't a clue on the reason why, I'll try those ones though.

I really don’t know, kind of looking for it myself so I can try to re-add it to the t3ch [m] builds.

so I think it needs to be found in order to get a new XBMC Build with working kai interface

SMB network sharing thing, is like broken. I didn't have any problem using it on the last Rev I had, and I've taken all measures on a 64bit win7 to try to get it to work and I can't get the shared stuff from my computer on the xbox.

of course smb sharing is broken in that build , its old .. use a new build as your main dash and use that build as an app , set the startup window to xlink and it will load right to it.

good find , downloaded it myself for archival purpose.

I did that after I typed this post Very Happy

Definitely something that needs to be archived for now.

People over on XBMC4XBOX forums really wanted this build, who knows what may come of the future.

First off hello and great work guys Smile

My name is Craig and I own www.xbmcsvn.com and www.xbmc4xbox.org and as you know KAI was removed from XBMC well it seems years ago now and we want to put it back. I'm not a dev but have access to things Smile Anyway it is my understanding that those builds that still have KAI active will no longer work with the newer builds of XBMC.

It also seems that the people originally responsible for the inclusion are no longer around.

It is my understanding that the code is actually baked into the exe and therefore we will need to convert the actual code over to the newer versions.

We were hoping that somebody here still had the original source code that was used before.

The good thing about SVN is I can always just pull that version that still had a working KAI and get the code there, but I don't know what I am looking for Sad [again not a real dev] so any help would be very much appreciated. Anything Smile a point in the right direction, code, anything.

Keep up the good work and thanks in advance.

Very cool. I'm sure there will be a TON of people happy to hear this Smile

Not sure how popular this was back in the day but I still get well over 500 downloads a day of just XBMC4Xbox [ok i just counted, adding the modified t3ch and the xbox diff with xbmc4xbox it is nearly 700 downloads a day] which means there are still tons of potential users out there Smile

Thanks for looking into this.

I have skimmed through the XBMC code looking for anything resembling
xlink, but i have found nothing. I am not familiar with python either, but if we
can find XBMC revisions 14099 (2008-07-15) and 14102 (2008-07-15) it
should be easy to pick out where xlink is within XBMC. Rev 14099 removed
xlinks interface in the settings menu, and in Rev 14102 the software used by
XBMC to run xlink was removed. If anyone can locate these Revisions it
would be a great help!

Awesome, if you can find revision 14102 it will be easier to find what
software was removed from xbc.

Edit: Can you compile a downloadable version of these revisions?
