How do I change my system's name on Halo? NEWBIE!!

I just got on, and i have a question. My system has the name Whicker, but I'd really like something else. How do change it to something sweeter?

If you have a modded xbox or know the ip address of the xbox then there is a program called NameChanger that will allow you to change the name of your xbox quickly and easily and is a very simplified program.

You should be able to get it on xbins but if you can't find it I.M. me with your email and I will be more than happy to send you a copy of the one I have.

you can use a few games that have the ability to rename your xbox.

RTCW
MotoGP 1 or 2
DOA

I prefer MotoGP because I can create a new rider profile which renames my xbox at any time I wish to do so.

I think with those other 2 games I listed above, you only get to do this 1 time.

Rally Sport Challange 2 also renames the xbox

I think the licence plate name is what it uses

Yes Riao I have dont this way before too. But its a real pain in the A$$. Ftp to the box then save a copy of the file. Use WinHex and Edit the file, save, ftp back to the xbox and replace the existing file on the xbox hard drive.

NameChanger works just as good and I now can change my xbox's name 10 times by the time I could do it once the long way.

With namechanger all you do is load the program input the xbox's IP and click connect, change the name to what ever u want and click change name and your done.

A lot quicker and easier, wouldn't you say?

I just use XBOXToolbox, but that only works if you have a modded box.

Also just remember for this program to work you have to know the Static IP address of your xbox.

The Namechanger is a simple easy to use program to change your nick, besides you can put some controller buttons animations on it( i did this on Halo)....looks weird, by simply filling the space with % and the name of the button (for instance %jump)

i got a question, in Halo alot of times the names of xboxs' have the symbol of the A,B,X, or Y (from the controller) on there name. How do u do that?

i used winhex, yeah i'm an old school xbox guru that likes the old fashion way of doing things. lol
