Change

# Enable PSP Mode (Automatic SSID detection)
kaiPSPMode=1 to 0 (zero means off)
and change

# Network adapter (!=autodetect)
kaiAdapter=\Device\{444B63C7-17A3-4F8B-985C-9340A4432EF4} to MS Loopback Adapter this should do it.

You can edit it via the text file or webbrowser (recommended).

My laptop seems to identify the driver via that hash for some reason actually. The Bridge as well detects it as the hash with 'MS Loopback Driver' after it. When I set it to 'kaiadapter=MS Loopback Adapter', the ethernet adapter metric just sits at 'No traffic yet'. Regardless, still no luck. Sad

I tweaked the settings again, but now here's a double whammy for folks. I buckled and tried putting X-Link onto my Windows 7 desktop as well. Got to the same point of installing(with extra effort), x-link, drivers, bridge...the bridge works on the desktop too, but again, still no PSP detection from X-Link. Sad

Changing the Device to just 'MS Loopback' without any of the device header before it seems to force autodetect. I'm really lost at this point. Sad

A mystery indeed bridge detects your psp ok. Is your PSP detected by the PC so that you can add or remove stuff from your memstick pro duo ? Have you tried a different usb cable ? Does your Device Manager window looks like this ?--> http://s7.postimage.org/g4hhv9w61/Untitled.jpg?

Just to make sure if its running and doing its job.
Click on the Start button and then on run. Type msinfo32. The System Information panel will show up. Choose Software Environment, then System Drivers. The entry "NPF" should appear there. If you launched a WinPcap application previously, the state should be running.

Yep. That's up and working.

Tbh, I'm really feeling like it's either the plugin on the PSP itself, or the communication with Kai and the Loopback at this point. Is it possible that the PSP B driver could be active while plugged in, yet not send loopback data through the USB?

Well i used the plugin but switched to adapter and my metrics show that everythings at 0 meaning no traffic at all, even though i am able to play. So dont put too much trust in the metrics of kai. Google for "Neur0n's psp stuff by Moz" and download the "adhoctousbv2 for 6xx" plugin and see if its the plugins fault or not. I forgot to mention have you tried ICS with the loopback ?--> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Using-ICS-Internet-Connection-Sharing

....SUCCESS! It was the bloody plugin all along. That was the first time I came across the 18KB version of it, and only one other version would work without crashing. Woot! I feel good now. Time to test in Monster Hunter...

Its highly likely but you would have to test it. The plugin you would need is the "adhoctousbv2 for 6.xx" google for "Neur0n's PSP Stuff by MOZ".

Due to legal reasons we had to remove the download links, someone may still be keeping records of the files but its hard to say if they do still exist out there.
