Ubuntu 10.10 Host not found(authoritative)

Hi everyone,
I'm an Ubuntu 10.10 user, and I am trying to get Kai to work but I am having some issues. When I try to sudo ./kaiengine I get the following output:

what(): Host not found (authoritative)
Aborted

I don't know what is causing this, I would assume an error with permissions, but I'm running as root... I have tried running as normal user as well. Any suggestions will be appreciated, I have even tried using other PC's :S

I've never seen that message.
Let me know your /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/hosts.
