1. In the Kai Config Tool, choose the NIC the XBox is attached to (this should help in the future in case you find out you lose internet connection during gameplay).
2. You will need to portforward (it's called a virtual server also) on that modem / router. I've written instructions for that exact model plenty of times, so please search in this help requests forum and you will find it, it's only a few days old.

well im still not quite able to port forward correctly after some rifling through your forums now i can get up to the screen where i put nat rule entry but im not sure what to put into local ip from and local ip to boxes heres what ive got thus far

Rule Type:Redirect
Rule Id :3
IF Name All
Protocol:UDP
Local Addres From:10.1.1.3(modems IP)
Local Address To:192.168.1(well actuallyive tried allsorts in this slot but this is my xboxs IP)
Global Address To:0.0.0.0
Global Address from 0.0.0.0
Destination Port To/From 30000
Local Port 30000

oh and i made my "kaiport" 30000
ive been reading and on one you were helping a guy just like my modem/router and you kept mentioning a Pc Ip now where can i go to check that and is it normal that the public IP in the diagnostics randomly changes all the time (like when i reboot my modem)

Why's the modem / router IP 10.1.1.3? Are you positive it's that? The default is 10.1.1.1 (the IP you put into the web-browser to get to the thing in the first place), unless you've changed it and you know it's 10.1.1.3 for sure..

Local Address To = the PC's IP that runs Kai. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT IP!

The rest of the config is fine, and yes, it's no problem that your Public IP changes each time you reboot the router. It just means your ISP issues you with a dynamic IP address (just like how dialup used to work).

*EDIT* no reply in couple of days, assuming problem solved -tizzo
