And no, running as admin wont help, I have the admin account unlocked and that's what I'm logged into.

Could you be more specific whats your OS what security software do you use ?

No security, and windows 7.

Have you tried running as admin with vista or xp compatibility mode ? Have you installed the latest microsoft visual c++ library (2010) ?

It works in compatibility mode for vista sp2.
