Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a port-forward? no
Is your console being detected? yes
Brief description of your network setup (include model numbers): compaq pesario R3000 laptop wint inbuilt nic card
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? sevive pack 2
Operating System? xp pro
Problem description; get a message on my xbox saying "The service is not connected. would you like t.... reconnecting it with xbox media center?"

I'm not going to say anything but something I've reiterated countless times..
.. does it work when you use the PC on it's own instead of blindly going in and using XBMC? |

OK, well looking at your config, you've not set it up for dashboard use.
Open the Kai Config Tool and set it to Engine Only (for dashboards).
