Tried that one, also tried to change the login setting on ps2 grom automatic to manual with certain IP etc. That backfired and got ip timeout on the ps3 and couldn't login (DNS error). This is really a pain in the ass. A long time ago i had this working, but with a different router but now it just wont work. I even have UPnP on but still nothing ..Altho xlink does find the ps2, isnt that strange? |

Problem is no ones playing on the pal server, you'll have to try and get a NTSC version working if you want to play andthat brings up a whole heap of other problems. |

Hmm, i was told i needed the patch to play with other NTSC gamers but may'be it's just simply to lower a ping being in AUS.
Any other Aussies out there playing over Lan?? |

We pretty much play exclusively unpatched games because many people do not have the patch
Ping shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as you have a decent connection. We play with a person from Brazil all the time, and at least one from europe. |

I dont know whats wrong then cause every time i enter a room it's goes through the normal motions and then while in the loading screen it boots me back to the lobby every time. |

Do you have the patch on your memory card? If so, that is why. We use memory cards without the patch and some just remove the memory card until socom has loaded up.
When someone tries to join our unpatched room with the patch it boots all/most of us as well.
maybe try using the same orbital as us? we use DC2.
right click the kia icon and add this to the end of the target:
--orb ADVANCED_DC2 |
