Do you use a software firewall? Turned off Firewall
Operating System? I'm on a MAC using parallels to run WindowsXP Pro + SP2
Problem description? Can't get network reachable or console detected... Followed to guide for port-forwarding exactly (actually retried it 3 times now) and also the set-up guide for Socom 2 that I found here in the forums..

?? is using a Virtual Machine possibly an issue or are there extra steps because i'm doing this?

i think i got this working, i tried with mac, and my network is reachable, and the console is detected
I will try that tonight when i get home from work. I feel like i'm closer just running kai in OSx though... I actually get network reachable and console detected doing it that way... i just can't see any games. I made separate post to see if anyone could help with that issue using OSx. But again i'll try this when i'm VM my windows xp tonight. Thanks! I'll let you know if it works

should i switch it to static ip's instead of dynamic since i created one when port-forwarding?
