Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? no, my isp assigns one
an ISP only assigns a static ip for internet use for special customers, i think you confuse open Ips (internet) with private Ips (home network) because when asked "Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai ?" You are being asked if you set a static ip for your home network, your pcs nic.

Do you have Upnp enabled in your router ?
Have you checked if the port 30000 udp is open ? (It probably is just check to make sure)

If you havent set a static ip because you think your ISP does it for you, your port forward rule shouldnt work. So i suggest that you set a static ip for your pcs nic and port forward port 30000 udp to it. This might be of help--> http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/WGR614v9/Xlink_Kai.htm an for setting up a static ip here--> http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
The last thing i would do is to assign the right network adapter in the kai config, the one that connects to the internet.

thank you for the reply

i havent had time too try anything today was too busy, but yes i did assign a static ip too my pc running xlink, i dont know why i aswered that question like that. ive set everything up as described in those guides both of which ive followed already, and it still isnt working. When i try too do a port check from a webpage online it says its not open, but like i stated before people are able too join my games so if the port wasnt open would they still be able too join or xlink be able too connect at all? i also got a new router and setup everytihng all over tonight and yes upnp is enabled. and last thing, in kai i thought i was suppose too point too the nic that was connecting my xbox too the pc not the one connecting my pc too my router?
