Hello

I am using a xbox 360 and a windows vista laptop. trying to connect to the server to play games. but when i enter a private room to play.. nothing appears on my xbox 360 in system link menu

I dont even know if my xbox 360 is connected to xlink properly. its pretty confusing for me but any advice would be great

I have used this guide to connect:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=60351589&postRepeater1-p=1

Do i have to do something with ports?

I have my computer connect to the internet wirlessly.. and the xbox is connected to computer by cord

Thanks for your time

First of all best xbox360 setup guide here--> http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42806

Second you need to port forward-->
ere is a guide for creating a static ip--> http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm if youre too lazy to do it manually heres a tool for the job--> http://portforward.com/help/setup_static_ip_address.htm

For port forwarding go to--> http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and pick your router, again if youre too lazy heres a tool for the job--> http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/ a little video guide on how to use the tool--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdcjuVbSGaE and a port checker to see if you forwarded the port correctly--> http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

Third enable ICS for your xbox and the wificard of your laptop--> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Using-ICS-Internet-Connection-Sharing

This should do it.
