Alright, I've been trying to set up kai with a friend to play some MHF, since he moved away and we haven't played in years. Here's what we've done so far.
>>Bought TP-link wireless cards
>>have wireless connections as well, TP links port-forwarded and connected to our PSPs
>> in kai, devices show up under metrics.
>>We go to a arena together (while in online guild hall in the game), nothing happens
Can anyone explain or offer advice on what i should change? I can provide screenshots and info if required.
Thank you.
EDIT: To be specific, this is everything we have done, stepwise -- if it isn't here, we haven't done it, assume essentially nothing.
1. Installed TP-link wireless card to our respective computers using the auto-driver detection for windows 7
2. Changed the TP-link network to static IP (I use 192.168.1.105, for example) with appropriate DNS-servers and whatnot.
3. Forward the ports on our respective routers (the 2 defaults, for kai).
4. Add ethernet wired connection to pc by plugging ethernet in
5.Downloaded xlink-kai, registered.
6. set PSP ad-hoc channel to 1.
7. load up mhf, go to online guild hall
8. Connect wireless card to PSP
9. Boot up kai (PSP comes up under devices using the browser metrics)
10. Enter private room together.
aaand nothing. |

You need to port forward your computer's connection, not the adapter's. You also need to make certain that you have a compatible adapter. Also, don't use the auto detect driver install wizard, you need the drivers and program that come with the device or that are made for its chipset. |
