I found Kai pretty easy to use with PC, Ava, and XBMC, however, I have one linger issue and I wonder what will happen once I implement the patch to my WRT-54g.
As soon as I run Kai on my PC and then initiate my Xbox client via Avalaunch or XBMC, my Xbox recieves a new IP address. This IP address is not from my local DHCP server. I am guessing this is a part of the tunneling effect. All of my games play fine (mostly laggy unless I look for people in my region of US), but when I want to shutoff the game play and get back to my RSS feeds or play music or do some more hacking, you have to shut-off the KAI PC Orbital software client and then reboot so the XBOX reconnects to your local DHCP server. What will happen when you are running Xlink KAI 24 hours a day on your Linksys Router? I fear you will never get your XBox to acquire a local IP from your local DHCP server.
THANKS!!! |

This a WRT issue not specifically related to XBMC - although you can always override DHCP servers by specifying a static IP in XBMC network config. |

Yeah man setting a static ip will cure your problem right up. I had this problem in the beginning. |

I don't have a problem with DHCP either. Make sure XBMC is set to DHCP and not dashboard though, that could possibly be an issue.. |
