IS YOUR KAI TAG=IN-GAME NAME?

Ok, i know every kai host has been frustrated at least once before when they need to do a roll-call to see who is active in their room in order to clear out the inactives so those who want to play can join a room....only to get confused because some out there make one name for their kai tag, and another for their in-game name. i'm guessing there is some reason to do this, i just can't think why...

T'a have a few because they have shed their civilian name and become a hero super power. I changed my Kai tag to match my new in game name. I'm with you though what having a different Kai tag and in game name just causes confusion.

i have my kai tag different from my in-game nick as i have been using afandiewinter way before i had my xbox (on forums, email, etc) and didnt feel like using the same nick..

changed my avatar a week ago to reflect my in-game name though.

RacerX in racing games, TheDude in everything else..

well mines wishy simple because thats my name. For some other things (non-kai related) like spam mail addys i use 'wish_marzter' which just stems from a personal joke with a couple of mates.

I changed my profile in halo 2 to MachineGunMan so people could know who they were killing. I'm gonna start using that for all system-link files. Before that it was lack of talent, so if you were killed by lack of talent, that was me. Laughing

I do that in Halo: Combat Evolved but in Halo 2 there are no dashes so I have put Halo2

Whenever it fits in the game, and the game has an underscore (_), I use Suddenly_Dead as well.

I think most people know that I am Sandman by now.
I had pulse8 as the kaitag 12 months before becoming TA.

Hhmmm I spose I could change it...

the way i see it, for example, pulse8 and TA-Sandman, they seem to be two different people. so people who visit the forums know you as pulse8 (even tho your sig has the sandman on it). people who see you in game know you as TA-Sandman. kai isn't the small community it used to be, we are growing HUGE every day. it gets real difficult to try to remember one name of a person, let alone 2. if it can be done, i say keep one name for both, just makes it easier on the host.

ps, those that are pretty close to the same (tag & in-game) those are easy to decipher by the host when needed. plus, "two-name" gamers are getting a real bad rap lately because they tend to be the jags who come in game and/or arena and either team kill or cause chaos in the chatroom, hence my motivation to start this poll.

we use hicaow as our kai tag but because we have a local lan of as of today 3 xbox's we use in game tags that are.. c2-hicaow , crazy_D , crazy_D>HC , DST_hicaow , kat_hicaow ... i'm the only one who posts in the forums and i'm c2 .. :]

I have a clever system set up for my in-game names.

If I play MechAssault, my nick will be MechWarrior.

If I play almost any other game, my nick will be Default or Player1, depending on what the default is for that game.

On a rare occasion, I'll use "Dana" or "dolson" as my name, but very rarely.

The reason is that I'm quite lazy.
