Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a port-forward? no
Is your console being detected? no
Brief description of your network setup (include model numbers): nvidia onboad lan to connect to my router for internet connection and a realtek network card to connect to my xbox
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? not using it
Operating System? winxp
Problem description?
I cant connect to my xbox, in windows the connection icon for my realtek network card (the one im using to connect to my xbox) gives a warning, it says the connection is limited or not working.
i could find my exact network setup in the quikstart. I tried to let he dhcp select an ip for my xbox, but thats very unlikly to work since my xbox isnt directly connected to my router, i also tried to set an static ip, also doent work.
any ideas what to do? my router is an SMC both wireless as hardwired router and i cam connect to it throught a UTP cable, my xbox is connect to my pc by an crossover cable.
setup to be clear:
Xbox <-crossovercable-> PC <-utp cable-> router <wireless> labtop |

Finish off the form please..
Limited connection is generally an IP conflict - check what the IP of both NICs are.
Also, in the Kai Config. Tool choose teh NIC the XBox is hooked up to instead of Autodetect and Lock.
EDIT: It's been a week without a responce, assuming problem solved. |
