new user Authentication failed, works perfect on site

I finally got my hands on a steel battalion setup and I really want to play online.

I cant seem to login to the UI. I downloaded the version straight off the site and I can login there and here obviously but I can't seem to get logged into the actual program. I get authentication failed each time.

Is your network reachable? yes
Are you using a router? yes
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? yes
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? yes
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? no
What console are you using? xbox
Is your console being detected? didnt get that far
Brief description of your network setup: cable modem to netgear nighthawk r7000 to xp computer wirelessly
Model numbers of the router, and modem? nighthwark r7000 router and motorola surfboard SB6121 modem
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? disabled everything
Operating System? windows xp
Problem description? I cannot login to xlink kai through the UI. I get authentication failed every time.

okay so I read a post about someone having to change his password for no reason and then it worked...oddly enough that worked for me.
