Halo 2 Xbox Missing Something

Hello - I am trying to join solo retos, I read around and found that versions of the game may matter - for halo 2 is there any specific version i should be using to join? I have tried the generic halo2 and others like killtrocity

any help would be appreciated

I am on a softmod box running from unleashx

I have a static ip set for ftp in xunleash

in the diags my xbox shows is configured successfully.

Also i would like to join up with others if anyone is on and is there a central posting spot where people indicate if they will be on?

I'm only able to answer the last question, as I'm using my Xbox as a straight up Linux PC for retro PC gaming, but for posting about playing with others, your best bet would be the Xbox forum here on the xlink forums. Although I know halo 2 is crazy popular on here so its probably not even necessary lol

Thanks - Looking to get back into the classics. I know its hard tho people tend to move forward with the popular games.

Figured it out - I had to port forward 30000 even though it said i was ok in diags. Once you set up your network be sure to grab all the map packs and updates. you should be able to join full room just by being in the main area - sub arenas will show independent games.
