i am trying to play a game with people online and i need tap adapter but tap adapter isnt a option in the network settings section (configuration)

Unfortunately this is a known bug in 7.4.35, please go back to 7.4.34 for the time being

To be able to downgrade you need to delete the old cache folder and config.
Open Computer, type %APPDATA% in the top bar, go to Roaming, and delete the XLink Kai folder.
