Both.
I'll be at tunnels to play with my friends here, and on XBL too... I have a XBL starter kit that I'm going to activate on the 8th November |

live is actually quite nice, but its like this.... where a lot of people complain about not enough competition sometimes on tunnels, at least you have peace of mind that they arent screaming 10 year olds because its a pretty close community, which little kids dont have the patience to participate in....
live on the other hand is an endless supply of competition, but there is also an endless supply of kiddies.
If you can take the good with the bad, dont limit yourself to only live or only tunnels.
Knowing people on live also, will help bring competition into xlink |

You just gave me the worst flashback on live. Littles ass kids excited that they can curse at people and get away with it. |

Well... since I don't have a live membership and probably never will get one I think that I'll just stick with Kai |

LIVE is just too freaking SWEET! I'll be on it 100% for Halo 2
I've had LIVE since it was launched in USA and nothing beats it, I've already renewed once and will do it again in a heartbeat |

live is the best service($50 a year is not too much). Kai is the best community(less screamin kiddies). The goal is to find a balance.
P.S. that video chat looks crazy!! |

Yeah, it’s something I will have to consider. Maybe once the kid gets out of diapers and I don't have to spend that 120 a month on disposables I might swing it. But where do you go to buy the games for live? |

Live is the best, I have already renewed also. I have never had so much fun playing video games in my life, it adds a whole new dimension to the games.
I also use Kai because I backup all of my games to the hard drive. My shit ass thompson drive went bad and it will not read most games, so everytime I get a game I have to swap out the drive with my sister's xbox and copy to hard drive.
Kai has brought my xbox back online!!! |

Once you get a good friend list it gets better. That way you get all the fun but none of kiddies.
I love xbox live too, great for R63. |

I'm slightly biased in the fact that I have never had XBox Live but I'd have to say, Kai is the better option. The argument in favour of Live seems to be that you have a lot more choice of opponents as they obviously have a bigger following. However, when you think about it, Kai is only an infant in terms of online gaming. Considering its only been up for less than a month, it already has quite a large following. I can only conclude from this that as time progresses it'll become more widespread.
I'd think that by the time Halo 2 is released, Kai will be a lot more popular and in my opinion, will rival Live in terms of multiplayer enjoyment. Like I said before, I'm only seeing this from one side so maybe I'd feel differently if I'd ever used Live but does it really matter if there are 'something' thousand more users available than Kai to play at any given time?
As long as there is always a steady stream of new players and they maybe diversify and play some other games to (Not just Halo and such like) then I genuinely believe Kai will be a good choice for people who don't use Live.
Still, freedom of choice is always a good thing, a bit of healthy competition for Live will never do any harm

Yeah, it was confirmed at E3, and remember the Halo 2 videos? They were on lan too.
The main reason I'll be on tunnels is because like I said, my friends here, but also all you NTSC players here. I can play you now, but with a 150+ ping, which sucks... but playing you all with less lag will rock. Hosts will be able to hold bigger games too, so although all that's availible on XBL, the people aren't (not all of them anyway ). |

I heartily agree with this statement. IMHO Kai is near perfect with the last update. All we need now are more gamers playing other games.
I don't use live either, but I really cannot imagine myself joining when excellent tunneling software like this is available. |

LIVE has 2 things that I want:
1 is downloadable content, both to have it and to make sure I have it so I can play against other people who do.
2 and more important, Stat Tracking! Performance wise I have no idea how far behind LIVE Kai is, but some of the games are pretty smooth on Kai so I am happy with it for now. What I don't like is racing 20 races in Rallisport, being first in points and knowing that as soon as that game stops being hosted there will be no record of it ever happening.
I mean knowing you won is a nice feeling, but it's all so abstract without records. Seeing a board that shows how you stack up against everyone elese is a really nice feature, then when you get into a game you can know "Hey that guy is number 3 on the leaderboards" and be thrilled if you beat him, or know why if you don't. But on Kai unless you just happen to rmemeber someone, it's like a room full of new people each time (especially considering Kai play names usually don't match the User Tag on Kai, so for me in the other room on the xbox I have no idea who that GOGS really is in Rallisport) |
