XBMC and Kai Working Together Now

Yah this feature is great..

Just one more thing that I changed in the config.txt file just to get it work.

The timeout feature... Was set to NoGui or something.. causing the engine to end when Gui quit.

I set the timeout to NEVER.. Works for me...

I tried it out earlier today but couldn't really get it to work... I wasn't able to see any arenas or games while browsing... probably going to try it out again sometime today

it was a great feature when it work 100%

i hope teamx + xbmc will handle this project like a alternative xbox-live version (friendlist, rooms etc.) -> i think many ppl out there will enjoy to join a game with the xbmc

I tried it yesterday and "it just worked". I did not check any settings or config
files on the xbox. All I did was configure kai to start the engine only.

Worked great, although I don't think it supports private rooms. I could not see any
in the Rainbow63 arena and there's usually one or two there.

I can see certain games, but nothing is being hosted for any of them! Which doesn't seem right!

Same here got xbmc and kai evo 7, I see my xtag after configuring but I dotn think xbmc connects to the server.............anyone get it to work?

it works. Maybe no one was hosting in the rooms when you tried to join even though there were people there. Next time, pick a game people are likely to be playing like PGR2 or RS3 to test if your xbmc is configured properly. i.e.

-make sure you have edited your xbmc ini file to have your Kai user name and password between the correct tags.
-make sure you only open Kai on the PC but do not log on!
-When you open Kai on PC, load xbmc. This should log you on Kai. Kai on the PC will minimise but remain in taskbar. You should notice traffic going through your router. You are ready to find your arena for the game you wish to play.
-After settling in a game arena of your choice, pop your cd in your xbox and play. You can host a game or try joining.
-If you have the game backed up on your HD, press the back button on the controller and either load the game from the programs menu in XBMC or you can go back to your dash and load from there. Rebooting your xbox does not shut down Kai, you will always be in that arena until you change it through xbmc or you shut down Kai on your PC.
-to change arena's after playing one game, reboot or IGR and load back xbmc. Choose another arena. Sorted.

for anyoen else reading ...........yes I could not connect either with this combo evox 3572/kai7/latest xbmc...............but can do everythign else with xbmc ftp and http remote control

you can ftp even while kai was running?

If not you need a static ip set for your xbox.

ummmmmmmmmm not sure what you mean, What I was saying, was that I have all xbmc settings corretly done to be able to ftp and use all other features, I just cant get it to run xlink kai7

can you ftp to your xbox running xbmc while kai is running on your pc?

I'll give it a try but .............so you want me to log into kai as if I would regulary do to play then start my xbox and xbmp and try to ftp to it?

I'll try but what does that solve.....or tell me
