ok, well i load up XLINK..

on the diagnostics page, it says the network is reachable.

The nextwork card is a Marvell Yukon... it says the card is locked, and the tech is PsSDK.

Anyway, so I start up my PSP.
Goto the network settings, set up the wireless network it finds automatically. Then click TEST CONNECTION... when i do this Xlink says that the PSP has been configured sucessfully, however my psp shows an error

A connnection error has occured.

Ive tried to join & host a game but none seem to work.. *something to do with the errors no doubt Smile
also when i try and do a NETWORK UPDATE on the psp, i get the same error...

HOWEVER.. when I turn Xlink OFF and do the network test on the psp, and try to download a network update it seems to connect..

Any ideas guys?

oh yeah, my wireless shit is the BT 2Wire intelligent gateway 1800.
same insides as this i think http://www.2wire.com/?p=133

Hi guys - I'm based in London UK and have the following equipment:

(1) Belkin54g Wireless Access Point + Router connected to 4Mbps DSL
(2) 3Com OfficeConnect WiFi PCMCIA Card
(3) Dell Ultralite Latitude
(4) Japanese PSP

So, make sure your WiFi is properly set-up on PSP by that I mean:

(1) Go to Home
(2) Scroll to Settings (top left)
(3) Scroll down to Network settings (last one bottom)
(4) Select Infrastructure Mode
(5) Set-up new connection
(6) All you need here if you use DHCP on your Access Point/Router is the SSID (name of your WiFi)
(7) Next, Next and finally TEST CONNECTION
(Cool If you've done everything correctly then your PSP will show as connected on XLink Kai

Now I just need to figure out how to play ridgeracers Smile)

rgds,
SM

MY PSP is setup on my wireless network fine.

If i turn OFF Xlink and do the network tests, it works fine. Also when I do the Network Update on the psp, it connects fine.

Its just when I turn Xlink on, none of this works - i go through the network tests again and it shows me the error as i posted above.

Funny thing is though that the psp does get recognised by xlink at this point, so it is recieving a signal of some sort, but perhaps its not getting one back?

Im stumped... i would love to be able to play multiplayer - gets boring playing on my own lol

Perhaps one of the owners of Xlink can help? any mods who can understand what is happening?

Regards

Nick
