Kai's PSP Connection Guide - READ ME FIRST!

sorry o bother everyone but i am totally stuck on how to get my psp online

i have a tiny desktop pc with a netgear modem/router dg834g (combined) and a netgear wireless usb adapter wg111

i also have a apple powerbook which i use to connect to the internet wirelessy

i have just got a psp and want to play people online from my mac

i am hoping somebody will be able to give me some specific instructions as i have no idea and really want to use my psp to it full potencial

Does it have to be Ridge Racer? Because the only game I have is Tiger Woods.

Kai recognize my psp with nfsu rivals game, but my psp doesn't find any player...
why?
must I open some port in my internet connection?

will i be able to get my psp online with the following

1. desktop pc with netgear dg834g and netgear wg111
2. apple powerbook

According to MS's website, the tab in question is GONE after service pack 1 is installed, help!

It's not a tab anymore, it's a little link that says "change advanced settings" in the wireless configuration control panel thing....it appears when you hit "view wireless networks" in the status window for the WiFI connection.

ok im connected to, via WLI-USB-KB11-3,and it can detect me PSP but i search for ages and it can find ridge racer or wipeout pure game.

sumone saids i have no sony under my name like 1 sony i have 0 Sony.

anyone help

i have a japanese copy of ridge racer and can't succed in playing with xlink.
ok i followed the instructions,i activate the wifi,but when i try to host a game it gives me an error message(in japanese so i can't read it)and takes me back to the main menu........it doesn't give me the error message if the wifi card of the pc is disabled....can you help me please.

now it doesn't give me the errore message anymore..but i still can't connect.xlink says there's no connected console...the wifi ad hoc connection o the pc is active.

can any one help me i allready have my pc conected to my belkin 54g router and i wana conect my psp to my pc do i need a second card or can i run the psp and the network through the same one

is there any way to make it so my wireless card can be in adhoc and access point mode? or do i have to have a wired connection to the internet, and wirelessly connect to my psp Question

does locked on your magna glass say yes or no?
plus when i put my settings on ad hoc i cant open kai period?

Anyone tried with a Conceptronic 54G Pci Express??, The kai crashes when I open it (connected with the PSP), it opens if I set another network in the KaiConfig.exe

Any Idea??

YEAH IT'S RUNNING !
Can someone connect me for testing ??? my TAG is automan and you find me in the PSP Wipeout Arena NOW !

BTW.i found a new PCMCIA card that is working ! It's from Netgear MA521 please put it in the working card list...this pcmcia card is not working Proxim Orinoco Gold 8480 Combo

I been playing Untold Legends and Ridge Racer online with little trouble, main problem i had was having to host a game for RR for my wireless card to see it , then hop out of host into join so i can join. Been having some issues with kai crashing on load though, and just recently i got Hot shots golf, and know im having all sorts of issues. Worse thing is when i disconnect kai crashes or dies. Basicly teh chat area all locks up and i can do anything, i goto the little kai engine in tray and it disapears when i click on it, so i assume it crashed. Now in the configuration i had it set to turn off at loss of UI, but I always tried turn off never, and that didnt help. Another problem is in part of the HSG game u can play a head to head match and it doesnt seem to want to work, wireless drops and kai crashes, not sure which is happening first. I tried reinstalling kai, no help, tried new drivers for the card too no help. Im using the DWL-520 rev d card, and wondering if there is anyway i can make it so its dedicated meaning it wont shut off just from not getting alot of pings which I assume thats what causing it. If you have an advice for me it would be appreciated. And if you recomend a different card please make it a low budget card. Thanks in advance...

is there a list of supported wifi cards/adapters somewhere cuz I want to buy this one but im not sure if it will work?
