OK another dumbass here...
DWL-122 (USB) - as soon as I put it in AD-Hoc mode, I lose my LNK light on the D-Link.
I followed the pictorial and I was connected until I moved to "Ad-Hoc"
I didn't set the 2 ports to 30000 as I don't need the port forwarding.
NOTE: I'm just setting up the USB dongle right now, no PSP here yet. I just wanted to see if this loss of LNK light was normal w/o a PSP.
I read though the whole thread for guidance but found nothing, if that scores me brownie points.
Thanks in advance. |

OK, I'm connected and recognised with a Linksys WUSB11 USB adaptor but the game I tried to join didn't have any mention of the "1-Sony" thing.
As it states that I probably won't be able to connect to this game without the host showing it, how do I go about getting it to show it ? Do I have to change something or does the host in their settings ? |

Hello guys,
I have a few questions. I currently have a linksys wireless G router, and the computer I'm on is connected via ethernet to the router. (No wireless card in it.) Is it possible to get the psp to connect somehow through the router? It gets on the net fine, as I have just updated to 1.50. Any ideas? Thanks. |

i have a question that i haven't seen an answer for (and yes i did search, and read till my eyes blurred ...no dice)
Is it possible to get kai to recognize your psp with a game other than RR?
if this has been answered, i'll gladly re-read a linked thread, but i haven't found any.
i just bought the system today (gretzky bundle) and bought twisted metal..
so do i need to buy RR? or can one of these games work? |

I think he means initially.
Just go into the wireless game mode of any game that supports it and host a game as if you were waiting for others to join. The PSP will just send out bursts that the computer will pick up on.....................in theory......... |

My internet stops working right when I changed the Local Area Connection properties. I'm using a Linksys WUSB11 and my router is a 3COm something..don't remember. Anyways Kai still says Network Reachable even without configuring anything...and the Orbital Sync is established. Can anyone guide me through this?
I would like to add in that my setup is...
Cable modem > Other computer > Wireless Router > Wireless Adapter > My computer |

For all people who cannot see the middle tab "Wireless Networks" in their wireless adapter properties tab you need to start Wireless Zero Configuration service in windows.
To start the Wireless Zero Configuration service, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s, and then click OK.
2. Double-click Wireless Zero Configuration.
3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
4. In the Service status area, click Start, and then click OK. |
Thanks alot man, that was my problem. |

Just adding my 2 cents to everything.
I have a Asus A8V deluxe WiFi edition mother board with a neat little software access point / wireless attenna thing. I was able to make all the connections work out alright, and i connected to myself ad hoc.... now my question is, does that mean my setup will work? As of now i can't get kai to see my psp, but it doesnt really like my xbox either, so im just curious if connecting adhoc is what determines will or will not work, and whether or not i should keep trying at kai :> |

Hi, I'm very much a newbie when it comes to this sort of thing, just thought I'd ask.
With my current setup it's virtually impossible to have my computer wired to my router. I'm currently on a wireless network with the below configuration.
I'm currently connecting with a Microsoft MN-510 USB adapter via a Linksys BEFW11S4 V4 router.
My question is: If I were to purchase one of the reccomended PCI adapters, would I be able to install it, and use the method described in the guide to run Kai?
I'd really like to be able to play my PSP online, so your advice is greatly appreciated |

if you get one of the recommend wireless pci cards, you will be fine as long as your setup is like the diagram. |

My connection is also exactly that way.. the wireless computer has MCIPCI wireless antenna adapter.. and I was able to to configure it to recognize the PSP.. but when It recognized the psp.. the internet stopped working.. since both the internet and the psp would be connected to the same adapter.. My question is, the setup seems unreliable.. so I would buy another usb adapter(compatible).. should I run it on the wireless Computer or the Wired computer?
Thanks |
