Live game updates

Hi,
whats happens if there is an update for a live game, but Idon't own that game anymore.
I have a modded xbox with games on the HD.
Does this mean I can't play against others who have the update?

If so, then I guess I need to rent the game and download the updates (e.g. cars levels etc.)

its better to do it in reverse Smile

have those WITH the updates REMOVE them... as more people DONT have the updates than those that DO.

I'm feelin ya.
Problem is getting people to remove an update !.
Esp if they don't have a modded xbox.
