ok guys ... i have an acer laptop with a wireless lan card ... i tried using my setup the exact same was as described in the guide but apparetnly the wlan card isnt supported ... so im gonna give it another try .. a different way ...
read carefully now ... i have a cable modem which connects to my linksys BEFW11S4 router and from that i give out connections to whatever i want. i also have two network (LAN) cards in my Pc (one internal and the other PCI)
now i was thinking about the following setup:
take the wire from the cable modem and put it directly into my PC ... then take another cable and connect my PC's other network card with the router .... that way i should have two seperate channels of communication ... the modem providing internet while the router acts like a wireless card for my pc ...
workable or BS ????

You need a wireless device INSIDE the PC that runs Kai. The only way you could get away with a router to work on its own is if it had Kai running on the router itself - which is exactly what we've done with the Linksys WRT54G.

If you want a brick - flash your router.
NO MORE ROUTERS WILL BE SUPPORTED - I'm not going to say why except to read
