I dunno, the GC cover is a bit big......I was thinking of cutting a piece of plastic to be the main cover for the disc, then make a kind of hook for it to snap onto the disc drive.....you'll see what I mean when I'm done with everything . |

do you think you will be building any other models of your GCNP?
that is very nice by the way!!!
I think if I was doing it I would have gone for the classic horizontal style though so it doesn't look as bulky.
how heavy is it? |

yeah, a vertical layout would definitely have looked better, although it would've been heavier and more uncomfortable to hold..........as for a new GCp model.....well, I highly doubt it, as the last one took me about 9 months to finish (although around 5 of those months weren't really spent working on it too much....). besides, I'll be too busy writing a guide on builing a GCp and working on other portables to make a new GCp (I'm gonna shoot for another N64p and a Sega Nomad re-portablized this year.....also, I may do another system although I'll keep it a secret one for now ....)
oh yeah, and it's about a pound and a half, so around .68 kilograms . not too bad for a GCp, IMHO ......... |

yeah, I knew a lot of people here use the metric system (and we should too ). anyway, yeah I'll be pretty busy, but if it's for the cause of portable gaming, then by golly I'm glad to do it !!!!!! |

Dude...it's a laser...it's not going to give you radiation poisoning
It's the same thing as a very focused laser pointer.
Besides, you can't stare into the laser beam when the game is in it, anyway :p |

Then tell me why the government makes them put a warning on laser products telling people not to use it for a purpose inconsistent with its instructions. They wouldn't put a safety warning if it weren't dangerous. |

they just put those on there 'cause they don't want to get sued by the parents of some kid who stared into the laser for 10 minutes and became blind ....seriously, though, the laser can be dangerous if you stare into it for a long time, although since the disc drive is on the back I'm never looking into the laser...(unless I play in front of a mirror ) |

It's dangerous if you put your eye over it. It'd instantly blind you.
As long as he keeps it pointing away from his face he should be fine. |

it wouldn't be instant, if that was true we'd all have to wear sunglasses 24/7 to shield us from the sun (but you should wear sunglasses to protect your macula! and to prevent cataracts)
