it has been said that the nintendo ds will have a new name.....any ideas?

No, that's not what I meant. I think the DS looks great, but there are a lot of people out there who don't like Nintendo and their novel ideas. And if they release something called the Nintendo DS, it's bound to be called Nintendo Dipshit by the critics.

Yeah, if they had a new name for it I think they would've announced it right away, and there's no way they would change it right after E3.

I don't think its name will change. It is just to short of a time period before it comes out. And to some extent, they are trying to sell the "developer's system" idea.
