I say again,
100ms latency .. 10 updates per second.. how much would you *really* notice in a game if the other player's position was updated 10 times a second??
Sure beats frame sync for normal ninty BBA games..
This is entirely workable - keep it coming..

ok i understand it now. it will kind of look like a game of halo with real bad lag. But exessive lag will result in players juming around bigtime. I guess people with really high BW will play using this method.
Please find a way to solve this problem. I cant play online untill all the other consoles are gone off the config list |
Play some xbox or pc games online...the jumping around is much better then the stuff Nintendo used for their lancode....when tunneled it sux....half the framerate and below.
And nothing needs to be solved...cos there is no problem. |

You're just in time - I just got it working last night. Diffuse and I played a few games of Sonic Adventure 2 online (without our PCs.... all done on the GameCube). It should already work with Kai ("Fetch Addresses From DHCP" in the Network Setup menu). |

what do you mean by "without our PCs.... all done on the GameCube" this is still tunneling right.. and your program will still have to be uploaded over the PC to the gamecube correct? (xlink)
and it will be compatible with Phantasy Star Online? |

he means that you can just connect your gamecube to your phone line and play that way. as opposed to tunneling the gamecube using a computer.
and phantasy star online is not the only method of loading homebrew programs. |

or am i best off to just stick with my Phantasy Star? (if it still works). |

GCARS-CS does work when loaded with PSOLoad. However, I need someone to test CS with SDLoad or the AR bootloader, since I can't use either of those methods myself. |

yeah
control sim is a hombrew program
you need some of way of loading it on the gamecube
there are 5 different methods of loading gamecube programs
1. the phantasy star online exploit method
2. the sd memory card method
3. the action replay method
4. the max drive pro method
5. the modchip method
im leaning towards the 4th one |

no
the action replay method is a different one
you have to put a special file on a regular gamecube memory card and load software using your computer
its an alternative to the pso method.
sd load needs no computer. |
