Help with logging on XLink Kai on XBMC....

i need help on getting this xlink thing in xbmc to work but it is just not going for me. I just got my xbox modded on 1/17/05 so i have alll the up to date software(latest EvoX and XBMC). But it may not be a software issue it might be network(i have been told). The problem is i dont know anything about computers ,networks,isp and all that good stuff. so please someone help me with this situation i really want to see what it is all about.

NOTE:
(the error message i keep getting is "the service is not connected, would you like to attempt reconnecting it with Xbox Media Center" there are yes and NO option i obviously hit yes and the same message pops up ? wtf ? i have all my info in (xtag and pw , isp) and it still is not working.
please help thank you

(also- i want to download NMP halo but how do i unrar the file? ,yes i am a total idiot i know Embarassed

First, you arent an idiot. you have to start somewhere, and these are legitamite questions.

About the XBMC problem, I think the Kai client is on avalanche only. Dont hold me to it though, I dont have a modded Xbox.

How to work the stuff you download is that you have to have your Xbox networked to your computer. Download an FTP program and locate your Xbox on the network. Find the C drive on your Xbox and unrar it there. Use winrar to do it (www.winrar.com)

PROBLEM SOLVED ! finally thnk you every one who helped me and btw the problem was the firewall now i have to turn off my firewall every time i want go on xlink with xbmc Sad

but it worx Very Happy

haha very true, can you help me on how i can set my firewall so i dont have to turn it off , every time on qwant to go on xlink with xbmc ?

(halo nmp question : i did the whole unrar file thing opened up the installation thing but when it trys to connect it alwayz fails . help/advice would be appreciative, also when it asks for the ip adress on the installation screen , do they want my computers isp or my xbox's or are they the same thing
